DACE FALL 2009

Vancouver, B.C. (March 17, 2009) Designer Dace Moore’s autumn/winter collection was inspired by the sophisticated style of the 1920’s. “This collection is more sophisticated than any other collection that I’ve ever done,” explains Moore, “I was looking at vintage photos  from the 1920’s and 1930’s and fell in love with how everyone looked so well presented in their attire. It inspired me to make a dressier collection.”

The collection is put together with soft fabrics and a hint of vibrant colours. Violet and electric blues were used in delicate silks, heather greys and navy in brushed cottons and bold plaid prints. Eloquent details such as brass buttons, lace, ruffles and big bows add to the feel of elegance and superiority.

Silhouettes this season have continued to stay simple and tasteful. Styles emphasize a woman’s figure with open neck lines, above-the-knee hemlines and focus on the natural waistline. Mixed one piece items were created for pant and play suits. Mixing silks with cottons. This season the collection sheds a calm expression, enabling the classic woman to bring back the sophistication in her wardrobe.

Each piece has been created with the intention to embrace the dace aesthetic value. The new fall line will be available in stores across Canada, the United States and now in Spain and the United Kingdom. You can visit the dace website at www.dace.ca for more information
